Jenny Zhang: 艺术， 绘画
Jenny Zhang有较丰富的绘画和教学经验。 2013年，Jenny自Texas A&M大学建筑系研究生毕业。现就职于建筑师事务所Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. 2019年6月，Jenny担任芝加哥城市速写大会讲师。作品曾入选参展BLICK艺术展，并被多家机构转发，包括国际城市速写，芝加哥城市速写，芝加哥大学，芝加哥运动员俱乐部，BLACKSTONE酒店，及ARTONTHEMART等。Jenny擅长从一幅或几幅艺术大师的作品出发，引导孩子思考和感悟艺术。Jenny相信，让孩子懂得如何欣赏艺术远比孩子可以画出一幅完美的图画重要。她的课程致力于让孩子爱上绘画，慢慢开始观察，思考，欣赏周围的世界。
Jenny Zhang has extensive experience in art as well as teaching art. In 2013, Jenny graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University. Now she works full-time as an architectural designer at Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. Jenny is selected to be one of the instructors at urban sketchers Chicago seminar in 2019. Her work has been exhibited at BLICK art show and has been featured on Instagram by institutes such as Urban Sketchers, UskChicago, University of Chicago, the Chicago Athletic Hotel, the Blackstone Hotel, and Artonthe Mart. Jenny is good at arounsing children’s intuition to think about and feel about art starting with one or a few of masterpieces. She believes that a child knows how to appreciate art is far more important than he or she can draw a perfect picture. Jenny’s curriculum is dedicated to making children fall in love with painting and gradually begin to observe, to think, and to appreciate the world around them.
Ying Zhang 张颖： 中文
张颖老师目前就读于DePaul University教育学院，并将获得硕士学位和伊利诺伊州教师资格证书。她参与了CPS系统内不同教育阶段的课堂，并获得了面对不同年龄阶段学生的一手教学经验。作为在中美两国都有教学经验的专业教育工作者，她对教育事业充满热情和耐心，善于在学业上启发不同性格特点的孩子，并且希望用自己对中文和中国传统文化的热爱来鼓励所有学生。通过将中文学习融入学生日常生活的教学方法，她鼓励学生尽可能多地练习中文表达。在与学生的相处中，她赢得了孩子们的尊重，同时她也十分享受跟他们在教室里的时刻。
Studying and working as a passionate educator in China and the U.S. Ying graduated from Shanghai Normal University and DePaul University for a master’s degree in education, and she will become a licensed professional teacher in Chicago. She participated in several different CPS schools’ classrooms and grabbed first-hand teaching experience for her future career. As a professional teacher who trained in China and the U.S., she believes Chinese culture is her heritage and an excellent gift for those visionaries. By combining language learning with kids’ daily life, she creates a friendly and creative climate to encourage children to practice Chinese as often as possible. She earns respect from students and enjoys every moment with them in classroom.
